Trackdown was founded back in 1997 in order to provide an independent platform for Swiss artists.

It was one of the first Swiss house labels and continues to release tracks that are supported heavily by DJs worldwide. Trackdown's success has been in not having a typical sound, a wide variety of styles having been released with importance being given to making sure every release is as amazing as the last.

Tech/Deep/Disco/Latin/Acid/Tribal House as well as Breakbeats (TRD 2005 & TRD 2007) have been featured on the label and many of the releases have been picked up by larger labels such as Dimitri & Tom's 'Brasil Over Zurich' which was licensed to Subliminal, Peter Dildo - 'Physical 2000' (Fabric Live 01 mixed by James Lavelle) and  Tiger - 'Black Rock' that was released as 'Black Rock' - 'Blue Water' on Phonetic/Positiva.
